Success is not the key to happiness

Everybody's definition of success can be mapped on a simple grid, with one axis being the amount of money that you have and the other being the amount of happiness in one's life.
Common Definition of Success                                                                                                Actual Definition of Success
Reasons why the latter definition is better than the former:
1. There is no point to being rich if you're not enjoying yourself.
2. You're more likely to become rich if you're happy doing whatever you're doing.

Disclaimer : The above definition is not valid if you're struggling to put food in your mouth and keep a roof over your head because when you're just trying to survive, you don't think about happiness.

Everyone wants to be rich and happy than poor and happy. However, it's easier to get rich if you start from a place of being happy - with what you're doing and why you're doing it.
Unlike fairy tales and novels, where happiness is in the end of the story, real happiness does not come at the end of your story or life. Happiness knocks in your door everyday. But it seems most of you ignore it because you are locked with the thought that happiness is in the end of your journey, only after you achieve all the goals that you want, acquire the wealth that you aspire or found the perfect love you’ve always dream of.

People who are happy tend to be more successful at whatever it is they're doing - for example they have better health, are more productive and have better relationships with others.

Ten interesting comparisons of Success vs. Happiness.

1.   Success is a fancy car, happiness is a great ride.

2.   Success is private jets, happiness is flying high.

3.   Success is measurable; happiness is limitless.

4.   Success is working hard, happiness is loving the work.

5.   Success is all the money in the world, happiness is having the people to spend it on.

6.   Success is the fame; happiness is the rise.

7.   Success is calculated; happiness doesn’t need a cheat sheet.

8.   Success is earned, happiness is achieved.

9.   Success is never easy; happiness is never difficult.

10. Success is pursuing your dreams; happiness is living your dreams.

Happiness is not an end but a journey. Success is a byproduct of happiness - a factor that comes from happiness, derives from it.

Stay happy, stay blessed!
