Interview with Mr. Laughter

Q. Mr. Laughter, how would your like to define yourself in one line?
A.  I am a melody, a concert from the heart; a ticking by the angels, creative living art.

Q. Why do you think that you're important?
A.  I heal and comfort, I am sometimes gentle-sometimes bold; I am a freeing dance, performed within the soul.

Q.  Is it true that you fade away as we grow old? If yes, then how and why?
A. Yes, ageing leads to a poor temperament, making tension and worry in life more prevalent.
Q.  How can we enhance you in our life?
A. Don't live your life too seriously, pause and spend some time frivolously.

1. Connect and laugh with friends – Life is busy, but maintaining social connections is important to increase fun and laughter in your life.
2. Treat yourself to a comedy festival  Watch comedy movies or sitcoms. Reward yourself frequently with the gift of laughter, Hollywood style.
3. Laugh at yourself – Instead of getting embarrassed or frustrated, try to skip ahead to the future and see how funny the moment actually is.
4. Fake it until you make it – Studies have shown that you get the same health benefits whether your smile and laugh are genuine or fake. So, even if you don’t feel like smiling, just do it.
5. Pay attention to children – Ageing can shift your way of thinking, kids know how to enjoy life, laughing along the way. Watching them may be a gentle reminder to enjoy life.
6. Get a pet  Animals are great for boosting happiness and encouraging laughter because they love to play and have fun, and they often do things that are amusing without even realizing it.
7. Remind yourself of funny moments from the past – Keep pictures around that remind you of fun times where you were laughing a lot. And as you think of that time, give it at least a little chuckle.

Q. What advice would you like to give to our audience?
A. Seven days without me makes you weak, laugh out loud and become a freak.
